Supporting teachers, RSE curriculum leads and support staff to deliver inclusive RSE to learners with SEND
Training for staff within schools to cover:
- the Government RSE Guidance, and how learners with SEND are represented in the statutory curriculum
- Evidence and rationale for RSE
- Teacher values, comfort and confidence around delivering RSE to learners with SEND
- Targeted intervention to address sexualised behaviour in schools and colleges, including reactionary strategies if a learner displays sexualised behaviour, proactive intervention, and teaching about appropriate behaviour, and public and private in RSE lessons.
- Partnerships with home and families, school and other services to deliver a consistent and effective message around relationships and sex.

Creating a sensory or pre-formal curriculum of RSE for learners with PMLD.
Training professionals to deliver inclusive, rights based, relationships-focused support for service users with learning disabilities
Training for professionals in a range of settings, such as residential settings, speech and language therapists, learning disability nurses, or any role where support around relationships and sex may form part of your work.
This training will give confidence to address questions about relationships and sex, and feel secure in how to deliver a consistent, rights based and relationships-focused advice and support in this area to service users with additional learning needs.
Training could include:
- how to support service users who are in or seeking relationships to feel confident and secure in their knowledge and skills
- forming and nurturing partnerships with home, other support services, education providers, to deliver a consistent message
- developing and facilitating education or training for service users on RSE topics
- how to address issues around sexualised behaviour in non-private spaces, and training service users about public and private activities and places

Direct work
Teaching and training for learners and service users
As well as my extensive work with teachers and professionals, I also deliver direct work to learners and service users in special schools, colleges and other settings.

Sessions would usually be delivered as a programme over several weeks, and can be tailored to cater for the specific needs of the learners.
